Brake fluid transfers the pressure from the hand or foot lever to the brake pistons. This works reliably only if the brake fluid is changed regularly. Make sure to have your brake fluid changed regularly!
The color of the fluid is an indicator. Fresh brake fluid is usually light yellow or other light shades. Over time, it changes to gray or black. At this point, the brake fluid should be changed, and the braking system should be bled.
Of course, the brake pads and discs should also have enough material and thickness. If you replace these parts but neglect the brake fluid change, you're putting yourself at greater risk. Feel free to stop by and have your braking system checked by us.
